I didn't realize how much I'd missed seeing eagles here until work started kicking into high gear. While we're doubtful we'll get eggs this late - it isn't impossible, but it isn't very likely, either - I love seeing N1 busy again!

T40, thanks for the RRP facebook info and the videos.  It has been lively around N1 this year so far, and that's great.  Even if it is not our familiar eagle pair (Mom and DM2) it is wonderful to have eagles to watch.  And fun to see the geese raise a clutch of 6 eggs, too, on N2B.  Outcome not perfect 6 for 6, but Mother Goose gave it her best effort and they fledged 4.

Where's an owl when you NEED one!

Can't Eye-D Canadians with those black eyes and uniform attire.  And unlike most Canadians, they aren't wearing numerical hockey jerseys for easier recognition!  :) ;)

The geese here at Decorah are kind of like on some golf courses and parks -- too many for the territory and persistent about being where THEY want to be.  I will trust the eagles to chase them away when the time is right.

Morning pics from Decorah - Beautiful morning sky, female was perched in her usual spot behind a branch and we got a glimpse of her talon, the beautiful female, and goose on the bluff

Lisa, that talon closeup looks like a really old foot to me. Maybe just dirty instead.

More morning pics of the New BEs.

What are the pretty pink trees in bloom at the road end of the Retention Pond?  Betcha I asked the same question last year!

LOL, I have seen the female with some dirty feet, so it is possible her feet were dirty this morning.
