Lisa, Really good pics of Mom and DM2 today at the Y and N1.
For a while (on rewind), I thought only Mom was on the Y but then I saw two tails!
They were back and forth several times, like they couldn't quite make up their minds.

STL - I had wondered of there must be visitors or intruders in the area, and that is why we are seeing so much of them here lately.

Visitors in the area are certainly possible this time of year.  The food supply is so generous with the fishery.  If they would choose to nest at N1 or N2B, I'm sure they would run off any intruders.  They don't seem quite so possessive when their eggs are planned for elsewhere.

Mom and DM2 spent more time this afternoon by N1 and the Y.  DM2 was hidden behind the branches, and Mom up on the Y.  DM2 flies past Mom as he heads downstream and is seen soaring with a big birdy.

Lisa, your DM2 fly-by pics are great!  On the rewind, I totally missed that action.  Then I was wondering which eagle it was hidden in the branches and twittering loudly, so meant it had to be pretty close to one of the nests.  In some views, it looks really flat-headed, that made me think DM2.

A perky nuthatch visited N2B around 2:30. Then Mom perched for quite a while at the top of the Maple2, before 4:00, then back at the Y as the sun begins to set.

STL - Great pics!

That first one is DM2, and he is over someplace by N1, maybe to the side or above it.  I am guessing its just a different cam being use to view him over there.

A few more pic of Mom this evening -  She was on M2, and was trying to fish the pond a few times. She flew to N1, walked up to the Y, and then finally flew over the bluffs headed back to N3.

It's always emotional seeing an SA, knowing how hard it is to get to be that age. You're doing something right so keep on truckin'. :-*

I agree, T40. They're so beautiful, too! Seeing them always brings thoughts of all of "ours" who are out there doing their best to stay wild and free.

Your pics are always so appreciated, Lisa and STL. The fly-by at the Y was amazing!
