HD finished the fish on N1, then back and forth from there to the Y a couple times before flying away upstream.

Experts will tell us which wing feather is the loose one.

Great pics, STL!

I have noticed that HD has a few missing feathers from his tail too.

Think it's High Def in drama with very large mature juvie who just wants a bite of his fish.
I hear another eagle but don't see it yet.  Cam is sticking with N1 action....  ;) :)

10 minutes later....maybe it's Her Majesty instead of High Def!  Now that she's moved to the Y she looks meaner instead of handsomer!  :) ::) :o

Her Majesty and High Def  ;D

Lisa - Thank you for all the pix! That last one of the SA near HD really threw me for a loop. I think I'm finally done wondering if the SA is one of "ours" or if HD/HM are one of "ours" or why Mom and DM2 aren't "ours" anymore. Eagles be eagles and are as mystifying and as grand as they ever were to me. (<--- Insert every emoji available.)

Lisa, about HD's molting feathers -- I was thinking his tail looked a little ragged, too.  Wonder if the black on those feathers will be gone soon.

Pic of both HD and HM near N1 as it gets toward evening.

Who's on first, indeed, T40!

Who knew?
HD or HM perched for the night.  And even though they can't be seen in the dark, he/she is holding a heraldic pose!   ???

Annual warning about wild parsnip, which is abundant all around Decorah. It causes painful blisters and scarring that lasts for years.

Restaurant changes in the past couple of years, off the top of my head.

... ... ...
301 Eatery with a variety of sandwiches and baked goods, and Beyond the Bar Bakery,  both are downtown and have had stuff that looks tempting, but we have rarely found them open.
... ... ...
Correction: 301 Eatery is gone, replaced this month by Water Street Deli. They have a Facebook page.

No eagles on view this morning, but there was a hawk perched on a light housing near the Hatchery kiosk entrance, about 6:00.  Not sure of the species, no really closeup view.  Anybody have an ID?

STL - That was an osprey near the raceways this morning.  There was one last year around the area too, as we seen one fishing when I attended ATF.
