Thanks for the backup Lisa.  Really unusual an occurance.  Haven't seen that since 2011-12 beginning.

P
While it might be unusual at the Hatchery, especially on cam, there almost always is a gathering of that size somewhere in town. Their favorite area is just over the horses' hill.

I hope I get to see that when I am at ATF!

Thanks for the vulture soaring pics & explanation!

About 1:00 this afternoon, New BEf (I think) was perched next to N1 on one of those kind of hidden branches. Then she flew to the Y.  Unless it was the male!   ;)

You are correct, it is the female  :)

This morning, the female was on the Y and the male flew to N1 with a fresh floppy fish breakfast.  She made soft peal calls for the fish, but the male wasn't giving it up.  She flew down to N1, and the male flew out vocalizing. Sorry for the blurry pics, but male was out in a flash, when female came down!

Lisa, what could be going on with the pieces of stick?  Repelling bugs?  A new game?

One of them had a fish for breakfast on the overnight branch about 6:00. I think the male, while the female was poking around on N1.
