Nice capture, Ginger!

So much wildlife in the North's valley!  And some domesticated life, too.

Between 9:00 and 10:00 this morning (see pics), the rewind has a really nice fly-around by DN15.  Not sure if it was DN15 in the Brush Pile Tree at 10.

Daylight and DN15 on the Ladder Branch and the Yonder snag for a while as the sunlight comes into the valley.  Not sure where he went after, but there was a hawk perched in the Skeleton Tree for an hour or so.  Which kind, I couldn't tell.

DN16's turn to be near the nest overnight and early morning.  Catch the hummingbird buzzing around at about 6:15AM.  DN16 flew off to the creek trees soon after, but the light makes it really hard to see.

Good job on getting that hummingbird pic, STL.  So cute.

DN16 came squeeing into the nest last night.  Love hearing her squees.  During the night (3:35 a.m.) she had a visit from a critter -- was that a regular squirrel?  It seemed small.  Watch eaglespirit's video

Here's an edited video from this morning that shows DNF chasing off the subadult that we first saw yesterday.  To only watch the chase, start watching at 2:31 (or a little before).  It's fast, but you see the sub fly past and then loop back as DNF chases.  She lands on the Spit Tree and yells at the sub as it continues flying upstream and out of sight.

That critter whapped off by DN16 last night was probably a mouse or chipmunk; I'm favoring chipmunk.

One of the DNs spent most of the night on a Love branch.  First pic is DN16 on the Yonder snag, calling in the pinkish morning light.  She flew away and haven't seen her since, possibly because of the Sub-Adult's presence near the creek.

Sub-adult perched in the Scary Tree about 6AM, and DNF chases it around and off to the left (north), then DNF perched in the Claw Tree.  For the action, see the video posted by Ginger a short while ago.

Before dawn, one of the DNs in the Perching Branches, I think it's DN16 but no calling so ??  Same eagle on the nest, playing with sticks, fun on the rewind.  It flew off and I didn't find it or any other eagles at time of this post (10:30 AM). Raining.

Great golly, what are we going to do all day when the Decorah and DNN cameras get turned off tomorrow?  Housework, gardening, reading more, napping more.  Ick.   :P

STL --  Cams aren't turned off until August 20 -- one week from tomorrow.  We've got one week left.  Save that housework for later.  ;) :)

Oh Ginger, thanks for the correction on the camera turnoff date!  I just read Saturday and mis-thunk that it was this week!  So maybe another sighting or several of DN15 and 16.  I am never ready for the youngsters to disperse, and yet I am happy when they do.  And there will always be housework.   ;)

Late afternoon, one of the adults, I'm guessing DNF, finishing off prey high up in the Scary Tree, again guessing raccoon.  No sight or sound of the youngsters.
