Daybreak, DN15 on the Perching branch and DN16 on the Ladder branch.  They went back and forth, and spent some time together on the Perching branch.  The only way I can tell them apart is DN15 is darker than DN16, and DN16 is noticeable bigger.

About 11:00, one of the Norths brought another small raccoon carcass to the nest.

Another morning, another furry mammal carcass for the DNs.  DNF brought a partially eaten carcass, possibly opossum, about 7:00. Could be another raccoon.

Yes, it's time for DN16 to make a flight to the creek trees.

DN15 spent time in the Scary tree this morning, then missed a landing at the nest returning for a feeding after 1:00.  I believe that MrN brought something to DN16, then stayed to clean up some of the raccoon carcasses that are attracting flies and gnats.  Cam ops found MrN in the creek washing off the goo.  About 2:00, DNF (I think) brought another raccoon!  And DN15 flew to the nest from somewhere nearby.

The light at the nest is not great at mid-day, and it's windy, so my IDs might be wrong.  Please tell me what to rename.

DN16 is doing a lot of flapping this morning and flaps down to the nest from the branch, but she doesn't seem to have enough confidence yet to fledge.

I am wondering if the swarm of gnats surrounding her, will make her do it.

I was hoping too, Lisa that she would escape the nest today.  If she does I'll have to rely on vid captures.  Promised myself that garden/yard will be done after today and tomorrow.  Promised myself - have to get on with my life.  LOL

See you later.  Good luck on DN16 fledge.

Come on D16.  Dad's waiting, Bro is waiting.  Spread those wings and lift off.

Plenty of prey for the North eaglets, raccoons and a fawn leg.  Plenty of black flies, too.

I was away from watching most of today. Quick pass through the rewind did NOT show DN16 fledging.  Did I miss it?

STL, you did not miss it.

DN16 did lots of wingercizing and hoppercizing today, but I think she still doesn't quite have that confidence yet to go.  Maybe today!

Not very pretty but DN16 fell-ledged at last.

Lori, love that pic of DN15 just hatched.  Still amazing that they start out at about 4 ounces and grow to full size, about 10 pounds, and fledge at about 80 days.

This one pic of all four on the nest could be the last we see them together.  That's MrN in front, DN16 left, DN15 center, and DNF on the Ladder Branch.

AWESOME pic Lisa, STL and ALL!! ;D ;D ;D

I finally caught this one live. I wasn't certain who it was, at first. Congratulations DN16!
Thanks for the GIFS, Lori!
