DNF brought the remains of a fawn leg, mostly bones, at noon.  DN16 got several bites, then DN15 started shoving for a turn.  Love the pose of submission from DN16 -- smart eaglet -- well, probably instinct.

They are moving apart now and then on the nest, but still most of the time right next to each other.

Early morning today, DNF made a fish drop, and it was a floppy one!  DN16 seems to be the more aggressive about food even though younger.  Both of the DNs attempted to eat on the fish without much success.  DNF came back to dish out the bites, then spent time perching above to keep an eye on developments.

Morning feeds, DN15 got the tail at 9AM and DN16 got the whole fish at 11:30.

They are both really dark now, so we watchers will have to start looking at tail feather length to ID who is which.

Afternoon pics from the Norths. The fish at 2:30 was really large and they consumed all of it. Another one at 4:00, ditto.  Then DNF stayed to relax on the nest with the young'ns.

Foggy early this morning, makes for some beautiful views on the rewind.  Another very large fish for the DNs, brought by MrN about 6:00 AM.

More great views this afternoon!  Thanks to the cam ops.

DN15's wings must be almost at adult length now! Pretty impressive feathering, too.

Lisa, love the tail comparison pic. Do the feather sheaths just fall off when the feather is long enough?

Right about noon, DN15 took a careful step onto a rail branch.  That deserves a nice big fish!

MrN brought a fish at 4:00 this afternoon and fed most of it to the DNs.  I think DN16 got the tail.

Right after MrN flew away, cam ops found an adult BE bathing in the creek, then preening in one of the creek trees.  No pic, the light was too bright to tell who it was.

Closeup view of the DN's right profiles at almost 5:00 shows a light colored, horizontal line above each one's eye, like an eyebrow.  Maybe a feather. Wonder if it is the same on the left side?
