The eaglets eat a LOT and OFTEN! That's how they grow so fast.  Must weigh at least a pound by now (2 weeks).

Lisa, that was a really big fish MrN brought!  They ate on it during the afternoon, leading to huge eaglet crops and food comas.

Sunrise very colorful all over the area today. I keep saying I should make a calendar, but never have done so!

Sometime yesterday a big squirrel was brought in, and MrN and DNF have been feeding it to the eaglets today. Fur, skin, plus the meat. Look out for pellets!

The eaglets are starting to pick at dropped food bits and often get nest material instead. It's funny to watch them try to shake away grass or corn husk.  Eeeewwwww, salad!

Lisa, your pics are so artistic!  Keep 'em coming.   ;)

There's several fish in the nest, even one for a pillow (rewind to 3:30 PM).  And DNF harvested two big loads of grasses from the pasture so the eaglets have a nice soft mattress to rest and play on (rewind to 5:00 to see how she gathers grasses).  Storms are predicted -- wonder if the eagles can sense it and prepare.

After the grasses, DNF brought in a big skunk! More padding for the nest, and this kind is fragrant!  ;D

Looks like MrN who removed the skunk carcass at about 7:00 this morning.  Then DNF arrived right after with a new fish.  The kids are growing like weeds!

Thanks about the pics.  The intrepid camera operators make them possible.

Skunk, especially an adult like the one here yesterday, must taste bad, even to an eagle. Apparently they didn't even want the pelt for nest material.

Rewind to 1:30 this afternoon to see DN15 appearing to look up, and MrN in the branches above the nest.

At 2:00, MrN brought a duck, a male Scaup according to my duck ID resource.  It was still "floppy" for a few moments, but no pics here! Defeathering and feeding follow.

The cattle herd is growing, with several new calves in view.
