Lisa, do we know what this furry carcass is?  Perhaps another rabbit.
Several pics from this afternoon.

So cute, Lisa!  Here's a pic from seconds before the nap.  And a few more.
Depending on the light, it seems the eaglets are starting to grow the next set of feathers already, gray down, I think.

Lisa, betcha MrN will molt those wonky feathers soon.

There's not much left of the rabbit carcass at the end of this evening. And DNF made a nice fur rug, too. I didn't see if she or MrN ate the long bones.

Eaglets are using their wings for balance as they lurch around the inner nest. Both out of the nest bowl this morning. MrN and DNF are letting them have the air now, so both are thermoregulating right on schedule.

The eaglets are no longer infants. Now they are toddlers, thumping and lurching around the nest this afternoon.  Better build up those rails, DNF and MrN!

Eaglets explode with growth almost overnight.  Look at the long wings and gray feathers on DN15!  And they both are moving around the nest and sitting up kind of tall now and then.  From old fish and rabbit carcasses early morning to a large, fresh, sucker fish for lunch, it doesn't get better than this, does it?
