Lisa, in your second pic, DNF definitely is smiling! She knows what is to come soon.

;D She does look like she is smiling!

Cam ops found a couple of deer on the far side of the creek early this morning. Amazing clear view for that far.

MrN and DNF are doing their thing -- bringing more dry grasses, moving sticks, rolling the eggs.  For several weeks, we never saw eggs, now they are on view often.  Love the now!

Nice to have the Forum caught up to 2022!  Thanks, Amy!

No pips that I can see this morning. But the day is young, as they say.

Lisa, great googly-woogly, we have a pip! Just a peek on the rewind, but soon there will be white downy feathers and great big eyes.   ;D

No hatch yet at 7:00 this evening.  Probably in the middle of the night or tomorrow.  Grateful for the 12-hour rewind and our alert cam ops!

About 6:00, MrN flew in and aerated the section of nest closest to us! Then DNF got up, providing a view of the pip as MrN took over.  At 6:45, MrN gave us another pip-view.  SEDs everybirdy!

Great progress on the pip in that last pic, STL!

Hopefully, this morning we will be seeing a new fluffball!

Lisa, nice pic of the early morning pip. I missed it on the rewind.  At about 9:15, DNF brought in a rabbit carcass. When MrN got up to leave, the wind blew him right off the nest!  No pip in view this time.

MrN brought an oak leaf branch for shift change at 10:30 AM. I remember he did that last year, tearing the small branches off a tree "behind" the nest. No egg on view this time.  Maybe that rabbit will be DN15's first meal!

About 12:45, DNF landed softly for changeover.  It's so windy, the ins and outs are like helicopters. She has a bloody beak and face feathers, but not from the rabbit carcass (unless I missed it).  Shortly after, she turned the eggs and gave us a good peek at the pip.
