Morning pics today.  DN15 is showing pin feathers on wing edges, but I missed getting a pic. The face is showing sleeker, dark feathers around the eyes as the dandelion fuzz disappears.

Great pics, STL

DN15 is not looking so baby anymore.

Rewind to about 2:00 this afternoon for some amazing closeups of the DNs.  Thank you to the camera operators, and hope the classroom watchers get video of these views.

STL, has Mom North always had that dark spot on her head?

Hi Jaspurr. The dark spot on DNF's head is from the other day, probably a blood spot or maybe just mud. She was pretty grubby.  Scroll back  several days for pics.

Morning nest material deliveries, new fish to feed, eaglet mystery anatomy.

At an earlier feeding this afternoon, DN16 got tired of waiting to be fed and decided to take a small bite

Lisa, it's great to see DN15 attempting to self-feed!  Now and then they both pick at nesting material, too.  Skills develop really fast from now on.

Thanks STL.  DNF could use a spa day.

Lisa, looks like we totally missed posting pics yesterday!  Here are several from this morning.  Windy, rainy, rewind shows DNF's efforts to keep the kids warm and dry.

The fish from DNF was the front half of a large sucker.  Both DNF and MrN brought new nest material before the rain started.

Nice views of tandem feeding of nestovers about noon today.  Then DNF (I think) went for a bathing session at the creek.  She returned to the nest much cleaner and put together.   Possible that MrN had some creek time, too, I wasn't sure from the rewind.

Couple closeups of the DNs this afternoon.  Big appearance changes this week.  Betcha they will be standing up real soon, too.
