Early morning fly-around and one eagle landed at the top of a pasture pine tree just at daylight.

Hope you-all had a good Thanksgiving Day.

Well, tonight  my curiosity made it to asking point.  It has been happening at North Nest frequently after sunset.  There seems to be a real argument going on between two creatures.  Sounds are threatening and scary.  Definitely sounds as though a fight happens at times.  Happens about 7:15 ish nest time.  Tonight it appeared to be whimpering as if in pain.  But then, someone on cam duty caught the image of something crossing the large field behind and below north nest.  Night visage wasn't the best and there was a bit of ground fog setting in.  Looked to be a small fox or coyote.

Please is there anyone else who was watching?  What did you see?  How would you sum up what was happening? 

Another concern of mine - There is always a dog in the background.  I fear for that confined animal, especially if it is confined or on a guide.

Good morning Puff.  Sorry, but I seldom tune in during evening hours, so my response will be guesswork.  The North nest is on a farm and there are cattle bellowing from time to time.  Also dogs on the farm and now and then the cam ops catch one in our viewing area, usually with someone walking.  And coyotes are nearby.  At certain times of the year they are very vocal.  Foxes also can be noisy.  You might check the chat on the Explore.org website for more comments.

No problem STL.  I just tried to share.  That's why I threw in the nest time - there's  always the rewind to go back.  I know it's nature but it is scary.  It does happen frequently, maybe I can share it again.

Another glorious sunrise at DNN.  DNF was on the nest briefly about 9:30AM, then flew to branches "behind" the nest to do some preening.
About 11:30, MrN brought grasses to the nest with a nice fly-in, followed shortly by DNF with another talon-load.

Nestorations-big 'stick'

Rewind to about 1AM for dogs barking in the distance as DNF perches on a Love Branch.

After 7AM, DNF was arranging that big stick (Phyl's pic) and MrN was on watch. Shortly after, he moved to the Ladder Branch, catching a corn husk in a talon. Funny watching him shake it loose.  Better on the rewind.

At 8:30 AM, DNF perched on a tree to the south of the nest, on the same side (to our right as viewers).  The cam ops panned to show us the wide area in the creek from the same camera.

Thanks a million to the cam ops for all their great views and diligence at all the RRP sites!  Wish I had a million to donate, but every little bit helps.
