We're thinking the snags whatever they be Named being what they are that the Norths are doing great Iowa Eagle Stuff.

Lisa, thanks, they are such a handsome pair.

DNF has removed all the tall growth from the hemp bush (patio bush).  Watch on rewind to see her take down the tallest stems. This is one determined eagle.  She has been hauling and placing some really big rail sticks today.  And rousting the sub-adult from the creek area.  Busy morning.

Sub-adult visitor spent several hours near the creek, in the maybe Claw Tree, or ??? And MrN and DNF together in the Brush Pile Tree after the Sub-A flew away.  Rewind for nice fly-around.

Very interesting capture of DNF's eye.  Looks like a mosaic or marble pattern.  Thanks STL.

Thanks, Puff.  Eagle eyeballs are good for identifying who's who.

Early morning, 7:00 or so, DNF was perched in the Brush Pile Tree, then moved to the Brush Pile after an unsuccessful grab for a fish in the creek. She then flew to DN12's Tree.  Cam ops are getting great views of the Brush Pile area this season.

About 9:00 this morning, MrN had a breakfish on the nest, then feaked and roused on the Ladder Branch before flying away.

About 1:00, one of the pair, I guessed DNF, flew down from a branchy bush to the creek for a bath at the spit. After a brief time on the bank, she flew way down to the south end of the pasture and sat on the bank to dry off.

Raining now (2:30).

The Sub-Adult is busy this morning, around 9:30.  Perching in DN12's Tree, flying to the Brush Pile Tree then dropping down to catch a fish and land with it on the Brush Pile. Flying to the Claw Tree for breakfish.  Below freezing temps at the North valley today.

Chilly weather doesn't slow down the nest work.

Before light, the Norths perched on Love Branch, and a large buck walked away from the nest tree.  Early morning, the Norths worked on the nest, bringing new sticks and arranging rails.  Snowflakes blowing -- first snow enough to collect on the nest??
