We saw the other falcon leaving and then mom checked the little one over and looked like when they pull stuff or bugs off.  I'm surprised she didn't more hyped than that for an intruder.  Sure it wasn't dad leaving fast and mom messing with the baby?  When did this happen?

Gee and I was just watching that cam too, but was looking at some stuff from earlier.  GREAT news!!!  :)  That other egg is really coming along.

Earlier I was watching the little beak opening and shutting in the egg during a feeding..........dad kept trying to feed the poor thing the whole bird at once!

0145 AM -- I can't believe she hasn't moved enough by now to see the next one.  With the size of the hole and little one moving around in there it had to have hatched hours ago.  Nite.

2 HATCHLINGS
May 15
  dawn
She is EXTREMELY selfish with peeks
I wonder if this is her first brood.
She is so psyched over the cam - keeps giving it the stink eye
Its not normal for falcons to hatch one per day - usually they all hatch at once.
This pair doesnt appear to have a close bond either

I am sure Baby 3 will be along today

5:00 PM and STILL part way out.  Wish they'd help it like some parents do.

Ok we ran to Walmart in Decorah then mowed our yard and the one next door, I better put the Walmart stuff away.

Wow I'm not sure if that was mom or dad in there, but when they turned around to leave and swung their foot over it, it got a good whack and knocked sideways and I could see the head and one leg is out of the shell.  :-\

Here's another one from that 8:00 feeding.  In this one you can see it's leg stretched out.  It's still trying....
