Turkey Vultures, Marshall, Missouri
« on: April 04, 2021, 01:14:32 PM »

It's fun having the TV's back.  I love the grunting and other sounds they make.

They were poking around in the straw and once in a while looking like they might have found little tidbits to eat.

One settled into the nest bowl for a little bit, but then left.

The one was picking in the straw, but the other one appeared to be working on a nest bowl.

Very fond memories of this nest! :-*

April 13, 2021, Tuesday, 4:50p --  3 Turkey Vultures in Loft --  Marshall

For the last two days, the TV pair has gone to nest, off camera with much grunting and hissing.  Also exhibited movement of grass and small twigs.

Between 1 and 2 o'clock this afternoon, there was extensive interaction and vocalizations of 2 Turkey Vultures.  Most activity occurred in the nest area and was out of sight.

April 16, 2021, Friday, 4:00 to 5:00 pm --  2 Turkey Vultures --  Marshall MO

A turkey vulture pair was in the loft for approximately an hour, last one left 5:09pm. It was a gentle rainy period.  Again vocalizing in corner nest for most of the time, out of sight.  The nest bowl is shaping up and both TVs are fluffing up the straw.

Great pics, clarinda!  I can't wait to see baby TV's!  I have never seen them before.
