Shep and Lori, Great pics of the banded juvenile at the Flyway this afternoon, and comparison pics from GSB.   It is not Chance, darn.   See  closeup of band ID in my pic.  However, could it be another of the peregrines that RRP banded this summer?

STL -- RRP said in a post on their Facebook page:  "We think this is A/77, a falcon that Dave Kester banded on the Alliant Lansing bluff in 2021"[/size]

Shep, thanks for falcon-on-bluff pics. Whoever it is.

This afternoon, the bald eagles have taken over the area. Rewind to about 2:00 PM for soaring and a group of 5-6 swooping the river. They could be terrorizing the ducks or trying to catch fish in the shallows.  Later, two of them have been perching on the large, dead limbs on side of the bluff overlooking the river, towards the locks.

I wonder if anyone has heard coyotes on the flyway cam.  We have seen them.  I thought I heard one yelping this morning - but they usually howl.

LOTS of eagles - I dont think they migrate so where'd they come from?
