Tundra swans come to the Riverlands Audubon center at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers, north of the city of St. Louis and near Alton, Illinois.  Sometimes eagles congregate there, too.  Great spot for viewing pretty close up.

Beautiful sunrise today.  And about 9:00 AM, a coyote on the ice and an eagle perched high in a tree, but too far away for a good pic.

I am glad the cam is back.  Highlights a couple days.
That was a beautiful coyote!  There are 2 of them trotting around.
Good shots of a hunting hawk.
Still a few die-hard cranes
Harrier hawk hunting - maybe rabbit

Thanks, STL - Love the harrier close-up; it is so neat to watch them hunting.

Our live stream feed is experiencing technical issues at this time; Decorah Eagles, Decorah North Nest, Great Spirit Bluff Falcons, and Mississippi River flyway cams are all showing highlights. The live feeds will be restored as soon as possible.

Almost a full moon tonight, and the GSB cam ops show us the best pics!  If you watch the live feed, as the camera holds still, you can see how fast the moon is really moving, or how fast the earth is moving in relation to the moon, or something like that!   ::)

Both bluff and flyway cams showed the moon.
I thot the silver moon was most impressive!
Reminded me of a very old song -
By the light of the silvery moon

you can youtube it

Merry CHRISTmas!

Oh, Shep, the lyrics come back to me!

By the light, of the silvery moon,
I want to spoon,
With my honey I'll croon, love's tune.

Better go to YouTube!

Love the convocation of eagles keeping covid protocols and keeping socially distanced.  :) ;)

Here's a pic of the eagles you may have been writing about!  You're right about the social distancing, but I didn't see any masks. Ha.

Just happy to see the pic (thanks STLbf....my attempts at posting pics become so protracted and unsuccessful that I'm no longer illustrative) and shep....hopefully you're right!  :)

Merry Christmas Everybirdy!!  And thank you cam op for giving me a view of the Empire Builder heading to Chicago.  Amtrak on Christmas must be hard on Santa Claus, not to mention Rudolph and the crew!  :)
