Oh I'm still sad about little SE13.  But thank you for posting the preliminary report about the necropsy findings so far.  I will be interested to find out if the extra testing will prove the cause of death to be the suspected illness caused by a parasite.  It was also interesting to find out that the egg that didn't hatch was a fertilized egg, but I wonder why that embryo didn't develop.  So much to learn about these incredible raptors.  Hopefully, Mum and Dad will have better success next nesting.  They seem like a devoted pair and very good parents.

MpMom... so, do I have this right?  This pair are the same eagles as SE13's Mum and Dad - right?  So... in your screen shot of the nest, just above... is that a different nest than the nest that SE13 hatched in?  Do you know if it was built after SE13 died, or if they have nested in it before?  If it's a different nest (it looks different than the nest where SE13 hatched), do you know how far it is from the nest SE13 had been in?  So many questions... LOL... Thanks for any info you can share to get me straight.   :D :D  And thanks for posting your screen shots!

Yep Baz, this is 13's mum & dad. I believe it is the old nest they had & it is in the same area. They don't go to the nest they lost 13 in. :(
