Thanks,
pera. Dad and Lady are so beautiful. I love seeing them interacting and sharing their nesting and brooding duties.
Thanks for the pics and sharing that link,
MpMom. That is a great page of explanation to help remind some previous followers about this nest and some of its history, and also to inform any new nest watchers here.
I remember the story about Mum and her worrisome illness and condition that she was discovered to have developed in December 2015, and had wondered about the follow-up to that after she was last seen in February of this year. So I appreciate you sharing that link. I now know that multiple searches after that ere made and neither she, nor her remains, were ever found. But it sounded to me from what they knew that Mum may possibly not have survived her condition/illness. I know Dad was really bonded and devoted to Mum from all I saw of them previously (and read about), so I don't think he would've worked to attract a new mate (Lady) this year unless Mum had not survived. So based on that, I have to say, Rest in Peace, dear Mum. I will miss you
And I will also say, Best of Luck this nesting season and in the future to Dad, and his new mate, Lady. I am happy to know that Dad is able to continue on his mission with a new mate, and hopefully they will be able to successfully raise some little eaglets together this year and in the years ahead.
