A new morning in Sydney:

The moves of S13 seems normal, it was preening, moved a little and layed down again...
Waiting for food...  :o

Thanks for posting, MpMom...  :(

What a great mom in Sydney:

She was 6 hours beside her kid (from 6.15pm nesttime)
Then, at 0.15am she jumped on the branch in the dark ontop of the nest...
(see pics at my Sydney-pic-page:)
http://www.thehomedi.de/pics-sea-Sydney/2013-14/pics-sea-Sydney3.html

Two hours later, at 2.15am nesttime she came back onto the nest.
There she layed down beside her kid and is still with S13...

A great Mom, ever protecting and warming her sweet, lovely kid...  :'( :'(

--> The second cam (the tree-cam) is still activ, there you can see mom...

I am so sad to see about little SE13.  Mum and Dad worked so hard to provide for their hatchling, and they did such a great job.  I hope Mum and Dad will try again next year.  They seem like a devoted pair.  Sweet little SE13 seemed to be growing so well till whatever issue or illness affected him.  This is a sad day for the White-bellied Sea Eagles here in Sydney, and my condolences go out to all who are sharing in the loss at this nest.

Faithy - a mod at the White Bellied Sea Eagle cam in Sydney - put together this sweet tribute to SE13:

Thank you for posting that. I saw them as very caring this year. How very heart breaking. <3<3<3
