E-D, thanks for your pics. Your s'cap timestamped 17:08:19 is a clear example of the size difference between these two cute little ones, even though it looks like SE16 is standing on a bit higher part of the nest, which would make for some distortion in apparent size difference... they almost don't look like the same brood, and they definitely don't appear to have hatched within less than 24 hours of each other, and noone would ever guess from how they appear size wise at this point that SE15 hatched first, though we know all those things are true. Just an oddity to me - that's all. They are both such cuties and dear, and I want them both to develop as needed for success!
Pera, thanks for your vids and update, also. I believe you about the lessened sibling aggression, and happy to hear that.
I haven't seen chat on live cam, but I wonder if all is okay weatherwise around the nest. I saw on the news a few minutes ago that parts of New South Wales was dealing with a bad flooding problem and that there had been some evacuations because of it. There were a number of clips showing the significant flooding,
but I don't know where that happened in relationship to this nest.
I visited the Homebush, New South Wales, Australia weather page on weather underground and it didn't mention any flooding, so I hope that means there wasn't any at the nest recently.
I hope all in the path of that flooding and weather are safe! Take care! Here's that link to that weather page I mentioned, showing current conditions and forecast, as of now:
