MpMom!  The little seaglets are very strong and not bashful at showing what they think about each other right now!  :o :o  I think it can't be too early for Mum to serve breakffish or any food any time of day to these two - just to try to keep the peace!

Dad's on nest duty now - he's a handsome Dad.  :)

Baz, I am just happy these 2 were hatched close together. They both are sooo strong!! Equally matched.

Thank you for the ID tips, Peraspera!  :)  Interesting that the 2nd hatched SE16 is larger than SE15. Though I know there wasn't a very long time between their hatchings - 1 day I think, maybe?  I don't know if it applies to WBSE, though I suspect it may, I have read that gender-based size differences in Bald Eagles don't become evident till much later in the nestling's development (I would have to go back and look up when - I can't remember for sure now, but I'm thinking it was maybe around the 8-weeks mark or thereabouts - but don't hold me to that.  LOL), and that all the growth at this stage is not related to gender differences yet.  Of course there are always individual differences in each bird, so that may be all it is in this instance of SE16 being larger than SE15 at this early stage.  From what I've read, they are both fed enough, so I hope food supply has nothing to do with it, or the dominant behavior of SE16 over SE15.  Oh, and I was just musing on the missing sound in that other video from someone else - I wasn't really asking for anyone to explain it - LOL.  You are way ahead of me on making your videos, instead of taking them from auto-records.  I know how to make videos from auto-records at some live cam pages, but I have been trying to figure out how to make my own directly from streaming cam using the software already on my PC, and I haven't figured it out - yet.  LOL.  Thank you for the videos and s'caps you make and post!  I enjoy them all.  :)

Hi E-D and MpMom!  Thank you for your wonderful s'caps and captions to go with them!  :)

Thanks for your pics, MpMom, and thanks for the update and link, Peraspera.  I watched most of the loooong pip-to-hatch of SE15 - it did take soooo long.  Sweet thing - SE15 kept with it!  Yay!  I couldn't remember how close together they hatched - just that it was close - so thanks for that reminder.  I look forward to watching the video you posted about.  I wonder what that is on Mum's toe?  Which foot is it on?  I'll try not to worry about it for now, but hope whatever it is gets gone soon.  I'm glad both chicks are well fed.  Hopefully they will have just the normal sibling "rivalry" that doesn't have any negative consequences, as we see so often - I agree with you that all should be fine in that department since they are all getting fed well, as long as they stay healthy otherwise.  I have noticed on many occasions when watching the live cam that SE15 seems to be covered with less down than SE16.  A few people have asked about it in chat, and I haven't seen any of the Mods there acknowledge the fact while I happened to be watching on the chat box.  It's not a hallucination for sure.  LOL.  There is definitely a difference.  It's really just a curiosity to me at this point, and I hope both nestlings continue to develop and grow normally.  I watched for a while last night hoping to grab a quick snip to post, but Mum mostly kept the little ones snuggled in tight and covered in all that wind, so I never got a s'cap then.

Hi Baz! The mods most likely say anything negative about the down. They have to keep everything upbeat. I just hope all will be good this year.

Great pics again, Mp!  Thanks!

I don't know what anyone says in chat when I'm not there of course, so who knows.  I agree that WBSE Mods should help steer chat in a positive, upbeat direction, but that doesn't mean that direct questions or concerns or nest observations - observations - observations... oh, sorry, I got stuck on that word - should be ignored.  There are many ways to acknowledge the... observations!  ;D   and still be upbeat.  That's what I think.  ;D

I tried to catch some s'caps just now of the little ones, but I got to the cam just as Mum was settling in over the little ones.  And by the looks of it, I probably just missed a feeding.  The wind is still blowing and Mum is keeping SE15 and 16 tucked under.

Maybe I'll catch them tomorrow.  Have a good night, All.  :)

Peraspera, thank you for sharing that info.  I hope SE15 will be ok.  Thanks for the link to that still pic and the link to the video.  Do you know which foot that Mum's "birthmark" is on her middle toe?  I have been trying to see what people are talking about, but I don't want to spend a lot of time enlarging pics to look at the toes on the wrong foot.  LOL.  Maybe you know which foot it is - you said once before it is the middle toe, so I know which toe to look at.  Thank you.

MpMom, thanks again for your s'caps.

I'm having a hard time seeing detail in this nest due to the light conditions there - even during many of the daylight hours.  LOL.  My "old" eyes may not be up to watching this nest this year, so I look forward to reading updates.  Thank you, both:)
