It's almost 8:00 am Saturday morning at the nest/Sydney time (while it's almost 5:00pm Friday afternoon in Decorah).  A fresh fish was just delivered to the nest, and some was fed to both new hatchlings, SE15 and SE16.  Both hatchlings look so strong!   :) :-*  The next 3-post series of my s'caps were all taken in the last half-hour there:

Hi Lani and Peraspera!  I'm glad you enjoyed the series of screen captures I posted from one of the feedings this morning.  They were fairly dark, but I posted them anyway, unedited.

Peraspera, thank you for your video of the feeding that took place about 45 minutes to an hour after the one I took my posted s'caps from.  The light in your video was so much better that on my s'caps.  :)

Lani, they really are two precious fluff balls!   And they can peep non-stop with the best of them - as evidenced by the sound accompanying Peraspera's video.   :D :D

I almost don't want to mention this because they are such cute new little hatchlings to this world, and I don't know if either of you have seen evidence of this on live cam or video, but... while I was watching the feeding when I took my s'caps today, I saw what looked like one of the chicks attempting to bonk the other, but it had no effect b/c he was too small to put any oomph behind it.  :o    But for now, I'm going to tell myself that maybe it was just the unsteady bobble-headedness of that one who just couldn't control the head and neck movements yet and it just "dropped" onto the head of the other one... several times while waiting for tidbits of fish to be delivered to his beak.    ;) :D

Just watched the "bonking" video.  Aww.  How cute was that?  (Never thought I'd use that adjective to describe bonking!)

Peraspera, I, too, sometimes use editing controls to adjust brightness and contrast, but as I noted in my post yesterday, I did not edit my s'caps yesterday for that.  It can make a big difference.  It can also be done on the cam settings, which would be a great help for viewing in this shady nest location.

Please take a moment to remember Bob Anderson, the founder, inspiration and leader of the Raptor Resource Project, who died suddenly and unexpectedly on June 27th.  He is loved, missed, and mourned by his worldwide "family," in addition to his personal family, friends, and RRP associates.  Bob was memorialized and remembered today in Decorah, Iowa, in a special service for a Celebration of His Life.  I encourage you to view the special slide show noted in the article below that was put together by RRP Forum Administrator and good friend of Bob, Amy Ries, and the story of some of Bob's boyhood life as told by his family, also noted with a link in the post below.

Copied below is a post today from the public RRP FB page at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Raptor-Resource-Project/103786266324668?fref=nf :

Raptor Resource Project
12 hrs - Edited

Today we honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Bob Anderson.

Our sorrow has been tempered by the outpouring of love, kind messages, condolences, and memories shared by all of you recalling how Bob and the Raptor Resource Project has impacted your life, and we thank you all so much for your pledge to come together to bring Bob's dreams and goals to fruition.

Amy has created a beautiful slide show celebrating Bob's life at: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/70328347

And in our blog link, there is a bit of Bob's boyhood history shared by his family in, "Our Brother Bob".

We hope that these will bring you comfort today as you are with us in spirit.

Please excuse the Facebook Team if we aren't as diligent about answering posts this weekend -- everyone has done an amazing job since the sudden loss of our dear friend and we will be taking our own private time to honor and remember him.

We will not be live streaming the Celebration of Life today, but Amy is still working out details to see if it will be videotaped and available later. Please be patient, and we will keep you posted if that is going to be possible or not.

Thank you!

ps .. Thanks to our RaptorResource Mod for creating this beautiful graphic.

It's Monday morning, close to noon, Sydney, Australia time at the nest.  Two little peepers leaning on each other while waiting for their fish bites to be prepped.  :) :-* :-*

I hear some background music...  ;)

Oh dear, Peraspera.  I just watched the "parental oopsie" video from gr8lakes.  I hope SE16's little toes are okay!  I wonder why there wasn't any sound on that video?  Thank you for your video, also.  I noticed that these two little ones are very physical with each other already.  I haven't learned how to tell them apart - please give me your tips on that.   ;) :D  When I was watching and taking snips yesterday, I had a few minutes of concern when one of the little ones went down and the other one had sort of fallen over on top of the one that was down, and the one that was down looked like he couldn't get his head out from under the other.  I held my breath for a few minutes there.  Thankfully, that's when the fish bites finally started being offered, which is what got the one seaglet that was on top to move towards the food, which allowed the little seaglet that was underneath to get back up again.  Whew!  They both were fed.  But I noticed also at that time that the parent doing the feeding - was that Mum I think? - was very agitated and on alert and watchful for whatever was above and maybe nearby.  I hope the parents will be able to keep a lid on the sibling rivalry and not have to spend too much of their energy in defensive mode.  Things are off to such a good start here and I am hopeful for both little seaglets to grow and stay healthy and have a normal fledge.  They are so cute!   :-* :-*  Thank you again for sharing both videos.  :)

A quiet Monday night at the nest in Sydney - an hour and a half after midnight there, so technically Tuesday morning.  Everybirdie is sleeping peacefully, and a little one is camping out on Mum's "front porch".  :) :-*
