The eaglets are in food coma, but they come alive when Dad arrives with the next meal. Dad starts feeding and soon Lady comes to take over.

Lori, they have resumed the live stream here.

There is also another public FB page where they had posted a YouTube video of some daily activity while the cam was off. https://www.facebook.com/Sea.EagleCAM

Thank you Linda :)  I missed a couple of days since they indicated the cams were off and I kept checking & saw nothing.  Thankyou for the heads up!  They have grown so much in just a couple of days!  Beautiful! :)

White Bellied Sea Eagles Sydney Australia home of Lady and Dad & 2 little ones SE27 & SE28

Both fledged today!!! Prayers for your safety and journey little ones! My apologies my gifs are spotty again  :-\
UPDATE:
From the SeaEagleCam team: Friday Oct 22nd 2021~ "It is all happening, after an early morning feed for both from a gull nestling. SE 28 stumbled and fell, though we feel it was able to fly to safety. 28 can be heard calling from somewhere nearby. Shortly after SE27 fledged and flew off. Neither were found with camera searches on the round or nearby – finding them is hard. There is no need to search for either in the forest. We shall continue to watch and listen. The currawongs seem to have found them and will guide our camera search. So both have fledged and we are not concerned at this stage. In fact good news. We shall post more information and photos later." ♥♥

WBSE Eagles~ SE28 Accidentally FLEDGES!! Falls While Trying To Land On Branch! ♥ 10.22.21https://youtu.be/qQPV1mnexPo
SE28 was wingercising on the nest and wanted to land the branch next to SE27 and missed and fell below the nest. I included in regular time and in slomo at 1:24. SE28 is okay and can fly at twelve weeks of age! SE27 was surprised to be all alone in the nest! The cam panned the area and we could not see 28 on the ground or in the tree but 28 was heard. Congratulations SE28 on your "big day". ♥♥

Sydney Sea Eagles Sydney, Australia Home of Lady, Dad & little ones SE27 & SE28
UPDATE on SE27 & SE28 since the OCT 22nd accidental fledge

24th October, 2021 Judy, Rohan Geddes and Chris R Bruce were out and about at the Newington Armory  (and surroundings) looking for SE27 and SE28.  Photos below taken of se27 on the ground.

27th October, 2021 - An update and the latest news SE27 was found on the roadside in a busy area of Sydney Olympic Park.  We are very fortunate that the ranger who captured the juvenile was experienced in handling animals. They contacted me and the eaglet has been taken for veterinary care and assessment. We believe this is SE27 who may have become "lost" flying away from the wetlands and becoming confused. It is probably dehydrated  but will receive all necessary care and assessment.

1st November, 2021 Below is a brief update from NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service regarding SE27.
"𝐒𝐄𝟐𝟕 𝐢𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐬. 𝐒𝐄𝟐𝟕 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐲 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟.  𝐗-𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐄𝟐𝟕 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬."

5th November, 2021 - Latest SE27 update:
SE27 is doing well, gaining strength and is feeding by itself.   It has moved to a larger raptor cage to allow it to exercise and recover. The treating vets have advised that SE27 will be in care for a few weeks while it recovers and will be released back into the wild as soon as it's well enough.  Healing takes time so please be patient. BTW, we hear fish and mice have been on the menu! There are no reported sightings of SE28

12th November, 2021 - An update on the progress of SE27 in care “The Sea Eagle is doing very well under veterinary care and will soon be released back into the wild in Newington Nature Reserve. It has been identified as a male. He is eating well and strengthening his wings in a flight aviary. “

18th November, 2021 - Lady and Dad spent the night at the nest tree first time in awhile

Update from Sea Eagle Cam: "At last the good news that SE27 has been released. We were unable to announce the release earlier, as we needed to have approval from the authorities as a condition of our Research License Agreement. SE27 flew off strongly and we were all delighted to see her go free. May she survive and prosper in the wild."

SE29 is seen with its wing over its sibling SE30 in a cute wing hug! 💕 The eaglets are excited when Mom returns and begins a feeding. SE29 ate first and then SE30 gets in there and gets a good feeding. Both have full crops afterwards when she takes off. Thank you for watching! Video captured & edited by Lady Hawk
Established in 2009, EagleCAM (or Sea-EagleCAM) is a live, remote feed that operates out of the Discovery Centre in the Newington Armory at Sydney Olympic Park, Australia, close to Parramatta River.  The eagles are White Bellied Sea Eagles. The eggs were laid at 5:37pm on Wednesday, June 8th &     1:12am on Sunday, June 12th 2022 approximately 80 hours apart, gap similar to last two years.  SE29 hatched at 2:26 PM July 18th. SE30 hatched at 7:06 Am July 20th.

WBSE Sydney Sea Eagles home of Lady and Dad and little ones SE29 AND SE30...

SE30 Fledges today & returns 45 minutes later  ;D  and... SE29 who had fledged at 77 days old was found injured. SE29 has been given fluids and pain killers. We are waiting for further information...specific details below.Prayers for you SE29!!!
SE30 today

SE30 fledges and returns safely...

WBSE~ SE30 Fledges!! ♥ UPDATE On SE29 Found Injured! ~ White Bellied Sea Eagles 10.10.22
https://youtu.be/M1lib138BdIvia ladyhawk

Oct 9, 2022  It was exciting for SE30 who fledged today successfully at 82 days old! Lady was on the nest and was eating a fish - gave a bite to SE30 and then SE30 took its first flight. SE30 did not stay away long and returned about 45 minutes later. Congratulations SE30 ♥♥ Enjoy some beautiful closeups of SE30 on the nest.

Report from Eaglecam: "News of SE29 our older eaglet. SE29 had fledged a week ago at 77 days from hatch. It was keeping close by and we were thrilled when it returned to the nest for food for the first time on Oct. 7th. However, the next day it was not seen, away overnight and yesterday. Last evening we received a message from one of our team, Rohan, who had found SE29 in a nearby residential area. Close as the eagle flies. SE29 was captured and held safely until taken by  Hali from WIRES to a vet. SE29 is injured and appears to have flown into a window or wall. It has been given fluids and pain killers. We are waiting for further information. SE29 is in a safe place and we are hoping for good news. "

Prayers that SE29 will recover soon and be reunited with SE30 Lady and Dad. Thank you for watching!

Posted just last night on Sydney Sea Eagle Cam FB page  :'(

"4 Jan 2023 - An update regarding our juvenile sea eagles. We are sad to report that SE29 has not survived, even after excellent care from the team at Raptor Recovery Australia (RRA). We are pleased to advise however, that the other juvenile SE30 is doing very well and gaining in strength and experience. SE30 is in care at RRA after initially being nursed back to health by the Taronga Zoo Wildlife Hospital.

As you know SE29 was rescued in early October, after some sort of severe trauma (we are not sure if he flew into a window or was hit by a car).
When he arrived he was bleeding from inside the beak indicating a bleed in the lung following the trauma. He also suffered a particularly nasty fracture just above the foot, which you can see in the radiograph attached to this post. The challenge about this fracture is firstly, that it is quite oblique, and secondly, that it is very far down in the bone, making the orthopaedic repair required quite difficult.
While stabilising and after consultation with many other raptor veterinarians around the world, we initially tried to stabilise the foot in a special cast. But it became apparent quite soon that due to the oblique nature of the fracture the fragments just could not be immobilised properly and there was still some sliding.
Normally these fractures in birds are repaired with an external fixation device. This involves crossbars through the bone which are connected and held in position by external rods. The goal is to have two crossbars in each fragment of the bone. We knew that trying to repair this fracture would be a push, because of the little room left for us in the fragment closer to the foot.
But SE29 was a young bird (this helps with healing) and he was dealing  well with the process of being in care, having a generally gentle demeanour, so repair was attempted) and we placed a type 2 external fixation device. You can see on the picture what this structure looks like.
We then had to wait for the bone to mend until we could remove the pins. During this whole process SE29 has been a gentle, strong bird and has allowed us to take him through the rehabilitation process.
However, we have promised ourselves, we would only persevere with his rehabilitation if there was a reasonable chance for SE29 to return into the wild. This is where he came from, and the life of freedom is what he should have if we could make it so.
Two months into the rehabilitation process, the external fixation device was removed and it became clear that some of the tendons making the digits move did not work normally any more, and possibly there was some joint damage at the tarsometatarsal - phalanx 1 joint.
The foot is a structure a raptor just cannot live without, and we had to accept that our attempts had not worked out as we hoped. We knew it was a push from the start (again, this was a very unfavourable fracture), but SE29 had just been doing so well until then and he made us hope even more it would work out in the end. Unfortunately at this point it became clear, SE29 would not be able to be released and he was euthanased for the reasons described above.
Much like all of you, who fell in love with this little bird from since he was an egg, working with him and getting to know him also allowed him to take a very special place in our hearts and sharing these news fills us with sadness. But we are glad that we did give this bird a chance, because otherwise we would have never known.
