I'll keep watching but I think Sid is gone and the new young male is in for some of Nancy's "training".  Like you say, things are ever changing throughout the season but I'm thinking Sid may have left the room  ;)

"My pair" that perch across the street from me have just gone from 2 at a time perching to 1 now?....I wonder if one is incubating now but thought too early for this neck of the woods. But, then I remember original Mom of this nest...
