Last year after the second egg broke, A40 continued to bring food to A48 in the nest for a very long time.  He became more and more reluctant to turn it over but I can't remember a time where she didn't end up eating it.  This arguing over prey seems to have become a normal part of their relationship.  I am so happy to see how much time they are  spending here.  Dysfunctional as the bickering seems to be at times, it seems to work for them.  Hopefully a successful hatch here this year will alter their tone.  Someone at Channel Islands is making a video.  I will post a link when I get it.

The ravens were doing some kind of pre nuptial dance on the nest a couple of days ago.  Right out in the open in the daylight.  At least the GHO's in Decorah have the class to sneak in at night, showing  a little respect for the power of the eagles.  Those darned ravens  have such an "in your face" attitude. 
Nice to see regular nestorations going on here now though.  Thanks, MpMOM for continuing with your photo reports.  THere is so much going on right now, nest wise and elsewhere it is very hard for me to keep up, and would be impossible without your contributions here and at all the other forum threads.
