Mama Breezy spent the night perched at home.
I love seeing her

3 am she bagged HUGE prey - pigeon?
I had no idea a falcon hunted at night!

Mama Breezy was here early

10 am  I saw what I thot was Brook on the roof
BUT IT WAS A KESTREL!  I think male

I used DVR to go back n forth and got 3 images

Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin has a kestrel cam
They fledged 5 this year - 2021
Could this be a fledgling lookin for a home?

I am very surprsed he flitted around so long without our pair chasing him off

This cam stream isnt smooth, so he appeared on roof - GONE like a fly - POOF -
appeared below - POOF
appeared back on the roof

Mama Breezy was here all night.
She appeared to be awake all night - why?
The 2 of them went inside and renewed their bond.

The cam will be less available and turned off at some point soon.
During the next week I will be patching the server and at that point I will not be bringing it back online until next season.

Breezy perched on box perch all night.
6.30 am she took off upward like a rocket

I am reasonably sure Breezy is contending with an intruder.
Several of her behaviors could indicate this.
Yesterday her breast appeared bloody - yes, could be prey ...
She's been hyper watchful

With no sound, its hard to tell.
The only further clue was the male kestrel I saw here last week.
But a little kestrel is no match for a falcon

Breezy appeared this morning
I dont see her much - she appears then is gone

I saw 2 falcons on cam - but I am not certain if the second was Brooklyn or another.

Do the Elk River falcons migrate?

I usually only see one falcon, Breezy
I've had a sense of a 3rd falcon in the area - maybe...
This morning I saw 2 falcons but I dont know if one was Brooklyn
Has there been a new male?

You see one ( Breezy? ) out on the back perch - and a 2nd inside the box.
#2 kept trying to lure the first inside - but never did - and left

Breezy usuall but not always shows up around 3 pm or so

Sep 8 I saw a different falcon - black band, not blue

I've had the feeling there is a 3rd falcon around Elk River nestbox - but without sound I cant be sure.  Breezy is still there.  Remember she was the offspring of RRP King plant.  I miss King and Sherco

I didnt see any birdy here yesterday.
Today I caught both of them - BRIEFLY.

Later on they were both inside again

bcaw said they migrate so I guess they're feeling the call.

The cameras will be down possibly this week and next, I'm not sure I'll have time to get them back up right away.

Couple things:
1) If you include the date/time of cool pics, I can grab hi-def photos for our collection
2) Hoping to start working on getting the mic working for next year's season
