Interesting cat stories...

I do worry that people might unintentionally lose their cats if people take other's cats in and forget to think it might belong to someone else.

My two cats were never allowed outside....one escaped once only and ended in a sewer grate at the townhome complex I lived in at the time, but meowed so loudly someone quickly found her for me and got her back home....

Morning lilbro, Puff, and E4E  :)

Peep - That is quite a difference in career changes.   :o

kb - LOVE the kitty story!

clynn - Love your colorful Caturday pic!  Yes, it is good to see an egg at Berry.  Yes, Decorah North should be laying soon after the Berry & NEFL hatch.  RRP still has not confirmed a new nest for Mom & DM2, as far as I know or have seen on their page.

Lani - Oh my, a beauitful BIG kitty this morning.  :D

tsk -I am sure your friend is worried to death about the kitty.   :(

Here is my story on how I got Bandit. He showed up on my doorstep when we were putting up Christmas decorations one year.  It was the weekend and the shelter was closed.  He wouldn't leave so we put him inside till that Monday, and I took him up to the shelter.  I told them, here is my number if someone claims him please have them call me.  I did not want to leave him there.  Six hours later, someone called and they lived on the cross street from me and they came and picked him up.  The next morning he was back at my house.  I called her again and she come and got him.  After that, I did not see him for two weeks, so I started looking at the kitties at the shelter.  I saw a black cat and told Jeff that looks like that cat that was at our house.  He says, all black cats look alike.  I was like that's him I know it.  I went up there and asked where they got him and they said someone caught it in a trap and I said in my neighborhood.  They said yes.  I said I know who he belongs to.  They went to her house to see if she wanted the cat and she didn't, so I was able to legally adopt him from the shelter.

Lisa, like my Grandmother's Collie that kept jumping the fence and crossing Woodward Ave! She kept going to this one family so Grandma let them keep her. Grandma kept her son which I ended up growing up with.  :D

LILBRO Good Morning
PUFF and PEEP Good Morning..Oh wow abt co workers PEEP.. Im sure that has happened  alot..
KB Eddie resonates as our Charcoal Feral Cat we had last winter, I really think he bounced around,  he belonged next door, but another neighbor and I knew he wasn't loved.. Then he was gone and owners still here.. Still saddens me.. We had our own Smokie for 17 years who loved to peruse the neighborhood and was in every night,  I hope she didn't have a second home,  but clearly she was here more than Eddie was home..Very informative and heartfelt read.. So glad someone found your Cat!
CLYNN First Coffe.. :) No stores weren't crowded at all,. SO nice! LOVE The Captiva Nest SO much! I miss seeing Mom and DM2 in Decorah,  I keep xhecking..
LANI Had a very fun day indeed  :) We Also have a Cats will be Cats for sure..lol Weezi :)

Good  morning and happy caturday!   Under a flood watch until Sunday am!   Back yard has a lot of standing water!   Was concerned about getting Taffy Apple out  but after a few minutes the heavy rain let up a tad and she barked at the door and waded to higher land.    Good girl!   Tempis about 71. ULani, wish I could send yousome of this rain.  Our dust is settled enough.
William the doorbell ringing cat lived in Las Cruces!   Quite a small  artist colony there
Did something to my back/hip again and am back on extra strength Tylenol!   If this is part of the aging ptocess, I am over it!
Have to check the bowl games for today!  Clemson really took an unexpected beating last night! Wow!

kb - Thanks for saying those nice things about me.  I have never been a cat person, always a dog person and it was exactly 2 years since my lil Ginger had passed.  I think Bandit came to me at the right time.

Peep - Aww, that was so nice of your Grandmother!

Pink - Yes, the cabbage came out perfect, nice and tender.  Stay warm!

karen - Hope your back/hip heals quickly.

oldguy - Thanks for the celebrations.

Lori;D love your seriously gif

baz - Happy New Year!

Good Morning and Happy Caturday !

Lots are good Caturday posts today. I've always trimmed my cats claws. There's a special tool for this. And, a certain way to hold kitty's paw.
But, I'know some that use a human fingernail clipper.  Temps turned colder last night

Clynn great to see eggs at Berry College nest.
Lisa tks for  Bandits heart warming story.
Maggie's story is  a cute one  as is Mike's. C ats really do choose their humans. I know mine did.  ;)
Tsk those recycled plastic bottle toys would be interesting to see.
Lani oh my that is an awesome Puma! I just love that piercing look.  :-*
Pink so true
Oldguy tks for minions and miscellaney

Kb a lot of truth in what Ziggy's humans said. This past fall I worked on a cat rescue. You might remember, "Doc' the deaf kitty.  I learned a lot !
Some folks trap strays or ferals and then thinking that they are doing a good deed take them to a municipal animal shelter. Sometimes only to be euthanized leaving the family distressed, heartbroken and grieving ... to adopt another cat/dog. With a lonelycat/dog yearning for it's former family escaping the adopted family and searching for them. A crazy cycle for sure.  I also posted a chart about ear tipping of feral cats. And,m that if one sees a ear tipped cat to leave it alone as it belongs to a colony that is protected by charities i.e. Alley Cat Allies who tend these colonies and over see the TNR programs of each state. TNR: Trap, Neuter and RElease. But I believe a stray cat should be fed becasue they are either lost or abandioned. But never, never, ever trap them and drop off at a animal shelter. Unless it's a 'No Kill" Best to post a pic and info on a forum like 'Next Door.com"  Okay off soap box. Thanks.

And, in real time... HAPPY CATURDAY!!!   :D

I believe, Catiquette says that your cat placement is correct as pictured. They note that the cat should always be address first. LOL
