tsk, clynn and all, Please stay safe and warm with the snow headed your way.

Peep - My mama always said for New Year's Day dinner....cabbage for money/prosperity, and black-eyed peas for luck. Reggae looks like he is enjoying his leaf.

Lani - Love the pine cone gif!

clynn - I will check and see if our Walmart has those.

I took my Christmas tree down.  Jeff took lights off the house, and put everything away in the attic.  I will miss seeing those Christmas tree lights glowing in my living room, but I feel everything is back in order now.

LANI, The bird actually sings at great lengths in musical phrases that are pure mockingbird song. As the bird sings, it repeats each phrase three to six times, and it can change its tune as often as eighty-seven times in seven minutes.

Lovely thanks

Clynn, yes, Shannon is coming tonight, because of the fireworks in the valley. Kona doesn't handle it well, and Shannon doesn't want to give her anxiety pills. Shannon works tomorrow night. So, we'll have steaks tonight.... LOL Lizard warning!!  ;D ;D ;D ... love the sound of the cuckoo when I watch the Estonia nest. It echos in the background.

Phyl. Great minion! LOL!

Peep, Reggae looks well.. talons crossed  :-*

Lisa, Christmas will stay up at our home for a little while longer. I take things down slowly, I'll put away the Christmas dishes after Mike leaves.

Clynn, Tsk, Peep, Oldguy, Jilltosa, Puff, Pink and all be safe tonight.  :)

Here is an update from Denver 7 TV tonight - fire started by power lines mid day Thursday

In-Depth coverage of the Marshall Fire that destroyed more than 500 homes in Colorado   -   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2d-NnuM2vFQ

Here is hoping that T40 is safe and unaffected by this fire storm

Oldguy, this is terrible, prayers for T40 and all  :'(

oldguy and Lani - Thank you for the kind thoughts. We were in the pre-evacuation area and on edge most of the day. Doing fine but distraught for those immediately affected by the fire. Such a tragedy.
Only within the moment of time represented by the present century has one species -- man -- acquired significant power to alter the nature of the world.

CLYNN, the lizzards are a menace to highway safety.    The eggnog that LISA recommended already has spirits in it but it doesn't hurt to add some more. :D

PEEP, I am thinking that an intervention for your sloth and seal obsessions is in order for 2022.  LOL

KAREN, I love mockingbirds also until they build a nest near your front door.

I hope everyone has a Happy, Warm and Safe NEW YEAR celebration tonight.

Was just going to post about Betty!  How sad but she was 99 and lived a very active life!   Rip Betty.
She was a marvelous animal advocate!  Hopefully remembered them in her will!

Sorry to hear that. . .she almost made 100.  Great entertainer, advocate, great personality.  Been catching her now and then on the Game Show reruns of Match Game.

But then how could I forget  - almost every Sunday my routine is CBS Sunday Morning followed by 2 or 3 episodes of Golden Girls on TVLAND.  Those ladies had a way with words.  What they got away with at that time was  :o
