Lori, wonderful pics and gifs!  The young bucks are sparring, not serious fighting for breeding rights like the older males do.

BEs seem to be gathering here like they do at the Flyway, only not in such large numbers. But 4 in the branches for a couple hours this afternoon, that's pretty good. Might even be 5 at some point.

The sub-adult fishing and on both banks of the creek -- beautiful to watch.

Work on the nest continues today.  Plenty of food and it's not mating season, so MrN and DNF seem very tolerant of the other eagles nearby.

~ 7:03 I was just watching this in RW. I circled the eagles I saw. Red indicates the ones that were difficult to see. Two of those I noticed when they started moving and the third when it flew off. Two flew off and there was a chase over the pasture. Just after that the cam found Mr. North on the Babysitting Branch.  So, that means that none of the white circled eagles was Mr. N.  I kind of think one of them might have been DNF though.

What a great time for the cam ops (and so us)  to be exploring this new area of the North's territory!  Eagles are everywhere, but it won't last long.  Ginger, you have a sharp eye!  Sometimes, I find an eagle when it moves or flies away, too.  Rewind is such a helpful tool.

About 4:00, way in the southwest corner, near the road, cattle grazing and several eagles sitting on bouncy branches nearby. Flying around after takeoff, also.

DNN another morning for nest work.

So I thought it wasn't mating season, but it sure is pair-bonding time for the Norths this afternoon!  MrN came to the Love branches about 2:00, while the cattle were grazing nearby.  There he stayed, and eventually DNF brought a stick to the nest about 3:00. She arranged the furniture for a while, then flew to join him. They cozied up to each other and even sang their favorite duet, "This Whole Area Is Ours."  And they are still at it at 4-30.
