DNF brought in more nest materials this morning. MrN came to watch her at work.

MrN has been fishing, unsuccessfully, this morning. Rewind to 10 - 11 AM for great views of hovering, then arrival at nest with a stick, a flyoff "behind" the nest to snatch oak leaves from a nearby tree. Couldn't tell if it was a squirrel nest he might have been pirating or just leaves on branches caught in a Y.

Here's MrN at the nearby tree, flying off, and returning to the nest with the load of leaves.

Thanks, Lisa. This new season, I'm loving the camera views that go to the right and behind the nest; plus those that go more to the left of the Love Branches (this is where the leaves came from).

Lisa, you're pics are so much better than mine! Flickr might go onto my wish list. This is a male r-b-w, indicated by the solid patch of red on its head. Females have two patches with white in between. The reddish belly patch is hardly visible. Rewind to about 10AM to watch.

The North's were home this afternoon doing some nestwork, and a intruder came into the area.

AND THEN . . . DNF came back to the nest about 3PM. You can hear people voices in the distance, and DNF flew away, seen soaring off to the right, because 2 people walking along the bank of the Creek, barely visible (no pic).
