Beautiful pics, STL

That looks like a big ole fish, DNF has there.

I think the Northern Flickers are so pretty.

Raleigh, good times for working on the nest!  Couple more pics from this morning.

There was also an older subadult (almost adult) that spent quite a bit of time this morning in the trees by the stream (BPT and then Claw Tree).  It flew in from downstream and my guess is that it roosted in the trees in the area over to the right of the nest.  The cam op showed that area while it was still pretty dark but you could see some glowing eyes.  At some point Mr. North arrived and chased the subadult off of the Claw Tree and it finally disappeared upstream.  Mr. then flew into the nest to do some nestorations.

Ginger, thanks for the additional details.  Always something going on, and thanks to the cam ops for their keen eyes and discovery skills!

At about noon (on rewind), the Norths flew from the creek trees (DN12's tree maybe) to the top of a big tree just south of the nest. In the pic they are barely visible as silhouettes at top center.  A different camera view watched them for a couple of hours, twittering, preening, hopping close then apart.  Nice afternoon to just hang out.

Does this tree have a name?

Is anybody else noticing this trio of eagles on North Nest branches this evening?  Am assuming mom, dad and possibly one of the juvies from this season?  This is the first time I've ever put circles around anything, and only have a minute to pause to snip this photo and post it ;)  Will do better next time I hope.

I should have added to my post that the upper eagle facing camera (who is assume is mom) has not been sleeping, but has been keeping a watchful eye on the visiting youngster  ;)

MNLinda -- There were actually 4 eagles in the tree -- one in addition to the three you circled.  The 4th one is to the right but you can't really see it in your pic.  The one to the far left is Mr. N. -- in the place he usually occupies.  The other three are visitors -- 2 adults/subadults and 1 juvie.  I originally thought perhaps DNF was there as well but the cam op said she wasn't, and then she flew in this morning.

Here's a pic from earlier last night that shows all four eagles.

Lots going on this morning.  There were two juvies by the stream playing with each other -- so cute.  There was even mating at 8:07 a.m.

Thanks to pic-post-ers! Great pics of multi-eagles in the Love Tree last night and this morning.

Kinda confusing to have so many hanging around, esp. the visiting adults. Wonder if the adult/sub-adult visitors are testing the pair bonds between MrN and DNF? Maybe their answer is their mating seen this morning with another eagle right nearby?  I'm just speculating.

I love your pic of mating STL

Lisa -- It's so interesting to see all these visitors and very accommodating of them to roost on the Love Tree where we could get a pretty good look.

This morning a juvie/subadult was perched on the Scary Tree.  Cam op showed it to us several times between other views.  Eventually, it jumped onto another branch and see what happened.

LISA, at about 2:47 there were 6 perched eagles when an adult flew by for a total of 7 eagles.  I took screen shots but don't know how to post them,
