Getting oriented to the creek area.  The sub-adult has been perching in the Brush Pile tree (I hope I'm right, see labeled pic).

One of the Norths perched in another tree, further to the left in the pic, which is to the north direction from the Brush Pile.  Ginger, can you supply the label for this very branchy tree?

STL - On the Explore site we call that tree the Claw Tree.  Also, I don't think it was a North.  I think it was a visitor.  It appeared to have some dark feathers on head and on tail.  It looked similar to one I saw on Thurs. 10/21.

Today on the Claw Tree (GailM's pic).

Ginger - Thanks for the info on the visitor.  I see DNF has run it out of the area.   ;D

We'll see if it stays gone, Lisa.  I suspect they've run it off before.

Ginger, thanks for more info about the tree ID!  So I renamed the pic from the other day and re-posted it here.  Soon, we'll have a whole gallery of trees with  names.

You're right about the BE as a sub-adult visitor. Closeups tell the tale.

Just after color comes on this morning, MrN pruned a stick off one of the Hideaway branches and later brought it to the nest. He and DNF did some moving of several sticks.

Juvie perched in a creek tree about 8AM.  MrN brought a fish to the nest for breakfast, pursued by another eagle, couldn't tell if the juvie.

Lisa, nice visit pics from this morning.  Rewind just a bit for a lovely fly-in, first DNF, then MrN following.

I've only been watching off and on this morning, but there's been a lot going on.  Earlier both DNF and Mr. North were doing nestorations and bringing in some sticks.  Mr. N. brought a small load of grass/hay and also the first cornstalk of the season.  Later on the cam op found a subadult perched on BPT.  And, after that I did catch a pic with 3 subadults and also one with 2 eagles--maybe a chase by 2 of the subs.

3 subadults.

Chase?

Ginger, great work to catch the sub-adults and chases.  Yes, lots of activity in the Norths area this morning, and video rewind is best to watch the fly-ins and -outs.  Here's a pic of the colorful sunrise and one of MrN's cornstalk.  They will have an ample supply from the corn harvest.

Beautiful sub-adult, coloring is so pretty that he almost blends in with the leaves

Your pics of eagles in camouflage, mine of sunrises, such beauty in the Valley of the Norths, all brought to us by the cam ops!

DNF brought a big stick to the nest early AM, then spent some time hauling around that log and the sticks and cornstalk.  Worth a watch on the rewind.

Could DNF have brought the log to the nest?  Maybe it was the maintenance crew last month?

Great pic!

I missed the stick delivery this morning, will have to check it our on rewind.  Thanks for the heads-up.  :)
