The DNs are squabbling over territory as well as food. DN14 made a flying tackle on DN13 who was perching on a Perch Tree branch. It's all kind of obscured by the leafy branches, but good to watch on the rewind around 7:00 this morning. They spent some time on the Ladder Branches, then both flew off.

DNF came to the nest with a lunchtime food drop and both DNs mantled, but DN14 got most of the partial carcass. DN13 managed to steal a bit of it.

Great pics STL.

Food delivery about an hour ago. One of the D's, I think 14 flew under the nest. You could hear the squeeing but it looks like big sib got the spoils.

Thanks for the great pics, tig and STL!

I have missed so much today, as I have been out running errands.  :-\

Tig, great pics.  Here's more of the mid-afternoon food drop. My guess is muskrat from the fleeting view of tiny front feet with long claws. And from the brighter yellow feathers at the beak and tail view, I'd say it was DN13 this time.

One of the DNs was in the creek then both sat for a while on a deadfall. That was in between the feedings.

And one little bonus birdie.

Yes, Lisa, wouldn't we love to have them stay together when they disperse. Let's enjoy while they are still in the North's valley.

Early morning, MrN and DNF perched in a creek tree. I hope they are thinking, "We did so good this year."

Such beautiful young eagles!  More pics of DN13.  Where is this branch where DN13 is perching? Appears to be above and a short way to the left of the nest. Not as far as the Love Branches. Does it have a name?  With all these better cameras, we need an updated map!!

Yes, STL, they sure are beautiful young eagles! I will keep enjoying them as long as they grace us with their presence! Have saved so many of the great pics shared here. Thanks, all.

Lisa, your pic caught the light shining from the eagles'  eyes.  Mine adds orange arrows, just to be obvious.

Haven't seen feeding yet today. The youngsters are flying here and there, good soaring on the rewind mid-morning.

I've seen two food drops today.  One at 8:47 and one at 5:12.  I only snipped pics of the one at 8:47.  The one at 5:12 was a muskrat or opossum (?) brought by DNF to the nest.  DN14 got it although DN13 managed to get some bites.

At 8:47 Mr. North brought a fish.

DN13 landed and got the fish (as DN14 flew under the nest and to the left and then returned and landed on the porch). DN13 then flew off to the right.

DN14 flies off in same direction as DN13.
