Great morning pics, Lisa!

Sunrise on the rewind is worth a look just for the light shining through DN14s pantaloons!

There's a favorite perch in the tree that holds one of the nest cameras, the one we see attached to the trunk sometimes. I expect that the parents use it a lot while the chicks are small. Now the DNs have discovered, too. See pic with orange arrow.

Does the camera tree have an "official" name?

STL, love the sunlight on 14's pantaloons!

Great pics!

I bet Ginger would know if that branch has a name.   :)

I captured this pic earlier this morning.  I love the way the cow laying down in front looks like it is looking at one of the DN's.  I am thinking this is 13, but I probably wrong.  :)

Found a food drop by DNF on the rewind after about 1:00 PM. One of the kiddos got her by the foot, too.  DN14 quickly ate whatever she brought. DN13's efforts to steal unsuccessful, and later DN14 chased DN13 right off the nest.  In the closeup, can't you just imagine DN14 thinking, "This nest is mine, all mine."  I think the eagle on the creek bank at 3:30 is DN13.  By 4:00, someone is soaring (no pic).

Lisa, morning light is great for pics at the nest! Evening even better.  ;)

Those wildfires make for colorful sunrises and sunsets in Iowa. Same where I live farther south in the Midwest. Terrible for people in the West, though.

About an hour or more ago on rewind DNF brought in a fish, and 14 got it.  I couldn't tell if 14 came in with some fishing line or if DNF had brought it in with the fish, but while 14 was eating the fish you could see the fishing line move, and the line also moved a stick in the nest.  Hopefully, 14 did not swallow a hook.

Oh Lisa, fishing line where eagles can get caught in it -- terrible dangerous. Looked at the rewind, and DN14 struggled to dislodge it or break it, then flew away to the creek trees. At 5:00 PM, the fishing line is still on the nest -- see closeups.

Just after 4:00 PM, DNF made a food drop, DN13 flew past the nest, DN14 landed with expected results. DN13 flew in and DN14 flew away with the prey, followed by DN13. DNF remained on the nest for a few moments. Rewind has several fly-arounds.
