T40, is it possible that D27 or D36 may be part of the eagle group that has been hanging around the North nest?  I don't know where the North nest is but you may be able to determine if they have been tracked near the nest.  It would be nice to think that we may have gotten a sighting of them on the North cam. :)

jaspurr, Just by quirky happenstance I do know exactly where the valley of the Norths is.  8)

Not real far south from a dear old friends family farm in MN.
Trout fly fishing thar' .
Creelfully delightful.   :)

Those times below the eagles, melt out & bovine eyes.
Pool of butter old cast iron skillet .. I digress.

Basically D27 & D36 have not been at DNN in 2021, certainly not in the past 6 months.

D27's 'ping' was 0.60 miles from DNN on 03/31/21 however.
I'm sure she vocalized her presence to the kin folk of the Valley at the very least.  ;)

Thanks, BL, for the terrific maps! D27 did a whole lot of flying on 3-31-21 and you, my dear friend, are very good at keeping secrets. ::)

The funniest part is.

T40, it dawned on me here.

That looks a lot like that crazy creel full trout fishing place in IA 40 years ago.

I'll be.

Thank you for the info.  I wasn't fishing for secrets, just thought it would be fun if D27 was part of the gang of visitors at the north nest.  LOL

Jaspurr, I'm with you on wishing to see one of the banded eagles as visitors! Having D27 nest close enough to get a camera going -- wouldn't that be a special event?

FYI, Amazon Smile sent me this email note today:

"This is the quarterly notification to inform you that AmazonSmile has made a charitable donation to the charity you’ve selected, Raptor Resource Project, in the amount of $905.07 as a result of qualifying purchases made by you and other customers who have selected this charity."

Awesome, you-all!  What a nice way to close out this very difficult year.

Happy New Year

Not an eagle, but hearing lots crows today, and a Red-Bellied Woodpecker was spotted perched on a branch.
