Morning pics from Decorah - Cam ops spotted an eagle perched in a tree close by the hatchery before it finally flew off.  Another, birdy flew out of the big tree to the right of the maple a few minutes after the one flew off the tree by the hatchery.

Very distinctive head markings on the sub adult last night.  Should be able to recognize it if it comes back.  I am getting excited.  Just over a month until the ATF.  Can't wait to watch the beautiful sunrises and sunsets in Decorah.

Looks like action is heating up around the hatchery. ATF should be very exciting.

Good morning,  can't see the top head markings on our sub adult last night (Sat).  Do you think it was the same one that was on the nest Fri?  GBlH looks very regal sitting on top of the tree.  It would be fun if they would start a rookery in view of the cam.  On my last visit to Decorah (2 years ago?), Mom Decorah charged a GBH and knocked it off the tree top.  Lots of angry vocals from the GBH.   :)

jaspurr, if you look at Philjo's first set of pics from last night....the 2nd and 4th pic, you can just barely see the SA's dark markings on the top of the head.

Just in case you aren't aware of the Air Fest going on at LaCrosse, WI, this weekend, check out the Great Spirit Bluff site right now.  If that's the same airport as yesterday's show, it's a better view at GSB.  Goes on until about 4 PM.
