Thank you Ginger for posting!  Thank you Robin & RRP for bringing a little piece of our family to us today.  I want a peek!!! ;) Hoping Mom will decide to move back to N2B next season or the owners of the property at N3 agree to let RRP have a cam on during nesting season. ((Non-disclosure of location to respect Owners privacy of course)) ;)

T40-I'm hoping that even an approximate date would be fine to keep track of the eaglets.  I can't wait to see them when they fledge.  I am sure they will be visiting N1, N2B, the hatchery and other places we can see them :)

great news from Robin!

Saw this in CornellLab of Orinthology news:

Lower 48 Has 4 Times as Many Bald Eagles as a Decade Ago
In March, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced the latest population estimate for Bald Eagles, and the news was heartening. Some 316,000 eagles now cruise the skies in the Lower 48—more than four times the previous estimate, from 2009. See how the most accurate eagle count in history was partly powered by 180,000 eBirders plus sophisticated eBird Science models.

Great pics, Lisa.  What is the squirrel gnawing on?  Turtle shell perhaps? It has been on the nest for months now.

Thanks for Robin's report, Ginger! It helped.  I love spending more time with the DNN family but I also still miss Mom and DM2. I can easily watch two nests at the same time, so fingers crossed for visits after fledge.

The video here is from December 2020. You can see his left side tail feathers still have black on them. We’ll have to wait and see how they look after he molts this summer. Will they turn white or not? https://youtu.be/XzCFclBRMHQ

Something caught my eye, as it was flying across the retention pond....an eagle look like headed in the direction of Maple2, and might have landed there.

Lori, thanks very much for the gifs and links to SOAR and MrDecorah. Great to know he is still doing OK there as an ambassador eagle.

Lisa, even teeny views of Mom or DM2 are much welcomed! Can't wait to see their fledglings this summer when they visit N2B.
