Good morning pics, Lisa.  Here's the full moon setting at the bluffs. The closeups show how fast the moon is really moving. Thanks to the cam ops!

Just getting caught up again after a few days away.  Great pics Lisa and STLbf!  I agree on thinking that was Mom on the nest a few days ago.  Too bad we didn't get a close up of the iris to double check. And I loved the blue heron pic!  I walk on the trail that goes around my subdivision and one day about 2 weeks ago I came up on one sitting by a pond.  I took video of it until it finally flew away.  I had no idea they can roost in trees! 

Haven't had an opportunity to go into the DN site yet - can't wait to see the 2 new hatchlings!  Hope their feathered family does well this year.  So glad we have the north nest to watch!

Moved some sticks around


It was there around 11 minutes.  It flew up to the Skywalk a couple of times and also to the branch right beside the mic where it sounded like it was really manhandling it.  It traveled out of sight up the Skywalk.  I didn't watch after that so I didn't hear if it flew off.

Hmm, yesterday evening around 5'ish, I mentioned on explore that I thought I heard someone land near N2B.  Wonder if it was the SA, and it has been sitting up there all that time till it came down.

SA arrived back at the nest this morning, was poking around, and even took a peek to see what was under the nest from the skywalk branch.

Great pics Lisa & Ginger!  Wonder if the SA was one of Mom's and Dad's.  I know, we always wonder that when we see a relatively young eagle visit the nest.  It would be so neat to know though. Judging from its markings, it could have been in the last clutch they had or the year before that possibly.  It's comforting to know that their legacy is alive and flying somewhere.
