Decorah nest, looks like a very handsome/beautiful visitor lands at N2B from the attic.  Moments later Mom comes in and says, "You need to go"  ;)

He/she comes back and says, "I don't care what you say Mom Decorah, I am doing nestorations"! He even lays down.  ;)  Could it be one of the kids from Mom & Dad Decorah?  ;) ;)

That was definitely visitor at N2B.  Big clear eyes like DM2 but outlined eyes have a thin distinctive black circle.

I had to leave when they both left - one last taste of Ireland for St. Patty.  It's sent to me from the Irish Tourism people.  They visit 3 pubs and streamed it back to the USA.  Visit Dublin's Johnny Fox's, then up north to Belfast, back down to Dick Mack's in County Kerry, finish at the Cliffs on the wild west side.  A bit of history and Riverdance for color.  If you're interested and haven't OD'd on things Irish   It is 90 minutes long

Great pics everyone!

Not sure who the intruder was but Mom was having none of it! They didn't move fast enough the first time she told them to skedaddle, she looked like she gave a nice kick for good measure! Gotta love her!!

Wasn't able to get into forum or the live feed yesterday, and knew something was up when I saw all the e-mail notifications of forum posts this morning!  It's a shame that N2B won't be able to be used by anybirdie this season, but Mom wants to maintain her 2nd home evidently.  :)

Fantastic pics by everyone and as usual, great gifs by Lori!  Thanks for taking the time to document these events and keeping us all informed!

Familiar nests in this video released today!

From Nest To Fledge | Eagle Chicks https://youtu.be/KP9QPCM4oggvia Explore Live Nature Cams
Mar 19, 2021
Once an eaglet hatches their parents work hard to feed it. An eaglet's diet consists mainly of fish and waterfowl. Chicks grow fast, gaining a pound every week until they fledge. At two weeks, they can hold their heads up for feeding. At six weeks, they can tear at whole food. Before they leave the nest, they grow black flight and body feathers. These replace their fuzzy down, which was good for warmth but not for flying. Time in the nest helps them gain the size and coordination necessary to survive as free-flying birds.
