From rewind about 10.5 hours ago, an eagle flies to a tree close to N1, stay for a bit and then leaves.  The first pic its hard to see, but the eagle is flying to the tree where it perched.

Love that pic of the Barn area. Don't recall other pics from this angle. Once the leaves come out, we won't be able to see through the trees.

Just for reference, here's the common view of N2B, showing the pale colors starting to show up in the trees. Wonder if we will see a crop of corn growing on the nest like in past springs.

Lisa, great pics!

STLbf, do you know what that lighter area on the nest, toward the skywalk, is?

My spirit will never be broken or caught, for the soul is a free flying thing, like an eagle that needs neither comfort or thought to rise up on glorious wings.

Thanks, NW  :)

Robin has some new photos on her website from her visit on March 7.  Beautiful picture of Common Goldeneye pair.  Not sure if this was taken on the retention pond.  Amazing picture of Mom and DM2 chasing off two eagle intruders.  Looks like one of the eagles is displaying talons up behavior.

Have we seen both Mom and DM2 in the nest areas today? Philjo's pics sure look like DM2 to me, and Lisa's look like Mom.

Someone asked about the white stuff at one side of N2B -- I think it is corn husk that is dried from winter. The squirrel visitor likes to chew on it.

That eagle in Philjo's pic did look like DM2, but I can't be for certain it was him.

Mom on Maple 2 this morning, and one black bird was bothering her for a bit.
I also have noticed that when Mom flies off Maple2, and circles back around the trees over by the farm, she is landing in this tree. It's hard to see her, but if you follow her as the cam is panning you can see her go in that direction.

Lisa, great job tracking Mom! Wondering if they have more than one egg in the new nest. Anybody know?
