It looks like DM2 took all the signs down too,  hmmm ..

I see everyone is back on The Couch.  :)   ;)   ;D

My theory: DM2 is some kind of high-powered real estate magnate, who knows prime property when he sees it. N5 is their secluded, forest retreat. N2B is their high-rise, riverfront mansion with paying tenants in the lower floors. And N1 is their beachfront getaway vacation home. 8)

Thanks, I get it now! I'm still hoping they'll stay at n2b.... Fingers crossed!

Wait.... N5? Wouldn't the new nest be N3?

Sassafrass - I believe it was explained like this, and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Original nest N0 was in the bluffs, N1 is where the Y branch is located, N2 is next to current nest and fell down, N2B is current nest, so new nest would be N5 for a total of 5 nests.

T40- How cool is that that D24's transmitter phoned home once again in February of 2021.  8) 8) 8)

From my D24 notes:
Quote
D24 hatched on 3/29/16 @ 6:22 am in the N2B nest.

D24 was fitted with a transmitter and released on 6/30/16 @ 6:50 am.
(Hatch year Male).

D24's transmitter partially failed shortly after 07/04/17.
The transmitter has been working very intermittently since.

It seems odd to me that D24's transmitter has pinged around the same time of year in the same general area the past 2 years. ???

I might hazard a guess that this now adult Decorah 2016 N2B male BE has set up shop somewhere around Spillville & the Turkey River.

I wonder if boots on the ground using the Yagi could pick up D24's backpack signal ?

I've downloaded D36's pings up to the end of January. 01/30/21.

The current 'batch' of February 2021 pings of D27 and D26 up to 02/14/21 are NOT available via a .kml download from
https://www.raptorresource.org/learning-tools/eagle-map/ as they used to be.

RRP or Eagle Valley, I know you've been very busy of late, and I know you just updated the Eagle Maps page.

But could those previously available "current on your map" .kml files be made available for download to us once again  ?

IE: If you download the _ D27 Download Google Earth Map _ you get Novembers 2020 .kml file for D27 not February of 2021's.

Not the current up to date D27 waypoints as of 02/14/21 as had been.  :(

Us seriously Covid-19 and winter bored map users sure could use some up to date BE data to plot on our GIS.   :-*

Apparently 36 is heading for the locks and dams of the Ol' Muddy (heck he's already there).  ;D

36 stay away from the lights.

I figured since I've been more grounded of late.  ;)

What are these 2 up to.

It ain't like Mom Decorah hasn't kept us wondering more than a few times before.

Pip & I sit in awe on Decorah Eagle Time.  ;D
