haven't been on for awhile--Is it possible that the new nest is a summer landing strip/vacation nest as N1 used to be, and that they might nest again in N2B?  ;)

Matisse - Great to see you here and on chat again! On "As the Nest Turns," there have been many theories, wishes, hopes, etc. All of this sudden activity at N2B is very confusing, for me, at least. Only the eagles know, so stay tuned. ;D

Peep - No they aren't building a new nest at N1, but DM2 did bring some grasses there today.  They have also been bringing in some sticks and corn husks to N2B. 
They built another nest N5 a lil further away from the hatchery area, so I don't know if they have been hanging around the past couple days cause of a possible intruder in the area or if they might have changed their minds and want to use N2B.  I guess we will just have to wait and see what they want to do.  :)

I've also wondered if they were staying closer to the hatchery because their other food sources are frozen over.  Just a thought.
