Above 4 posts are from RRP's FB page. The Forum doesn't like me when I try to post large amounts of text, so I tried small bites this time and it worked. Go figure. :-\

Thanks for the posts T40!

Great pics Lisa, STL and Matisse!

It's getting hard to tell the different eagles apart. I think the one that looks like DM2(his twin from the other day) has a little thicker guyliner than our old Mr Handsome. I think that was him a little while ago, different than the one this morning.

I think we are going to need a confusion house!

T40 - Thank you for all the posts from RRP, and the video links.  :)

tig - I totally agree with you.
It is getting very hard to tell the different eagles apart.
I don't feel confident anymore to say, that's DM2 without looking at his iris.   ;D

Here's my favorite pic from early this morning.  What a beautiful pair of eagles they are.  I especially love how subadults look.

Mom to the nest this afternoon.  She was perched on the pond branch, and then flew to the nest to check things out.

I'm going way out on a branch and share some nutty thoughts I'm having.  To those of you who keep track of the past stats....is there any chance one of these new eagles could be from a past brood from this nest or the first nest??  None of these new eagles appear to be  banded or monitored so that lets out several from the past plus we'd have to look at 4/5 year olds.  I guess that would make it 2017 or 2016 or Egg 1, D26 or D28.  Now I don't pretend to really know what I am talking about but we know D27 is back in the area (that is one of the ones we are tracking right?)....so what if???  It might explain Mom and DM2 not paying serious attention or just casually checking in...save me a space in the confusion house.

All kind of new speculations about the fate of N2B. It is interesting to watch.

Fun thing I have been doing. I have DE and DNN video both up in small pop-outs. I only have audio up for DE.

I know what DNN audio will be. I want to hear any audio on Decorah Hatchery. It has been a fun setup as N2B gets visitors.
