A few morning pics from around Decorah - Love this view of the nest in the early morning, blackbirds on M2, Lucky #2 burying something in N1, and I think these are Starlings?

What's the progress on the Retention Pond work?  Am I hearing big equipment in the background this morning?

STL- Yesterday on Explore chat, another chatter posted a pic of the retention pond as the cam op was panning.  From their pic, it looks to be coming along.  From the sound of the machinery, it sounds like they are working on it.  Fingers crossed it is done soon!

Mom will be happy.....looks like the pond work might be complete, as they are refilling it back up with water.

LISA, love the sunset pictures.  Well, the hatchery has done their job getting the retention pond project completed in record time.  Now it is up to Mom to convince DM2 to nest at the new nest or at DN2.  I am keeping my fingers crossed.  I really like the view overlooking the barn from the new nest.  Has it been given a name?

I think most just call that view the Y branch view, if it's the white barn you are talking about.

A few morning pics from Decorah - Looks like the pond is pretty much filled, a rainbow of some sort, and a pretty sunrise sky

Good Morning Lisa, gorgeous morning pictures.  The rainbow.  Retention Pond looks good.  Can't keep the branch names straight.   As I told Ginger, I am not into the myriad of RRP names.  Yes, it is the white barn with horses.  This is the view we saw most often when I started watching.  Loved watching the horses.  I think this taken from new N1 nest? Am I correct?  The pine tree questions were funny.  I could have sworn that my photographs of Mom were from the B pines that BL had in his photo.  I am just going to stop commenting so as not to confuse everyone.  I just enjoy the photos, especially your morning and evening shots.

Lovely to see the Retention Pond refilling!  That's like a Welcome Home sign for Mom and DM2 (we all hope).
Great rainbow pic, Lisa.
