Mom Diamond looking out as her young snoozed is heart warming
Notice how BIG they're getting.
I'd watch cam but I cant stand seeing the egg

The kids are getting their brown juvie feathers.
Right now they are about 1/3 brown

They are mobile around the box

Assuming we have one of each

the female is called Gaama (=storm)
the male is called Budhin (=sunbeam)

The Australian breeding season for peregrines has begun.The resident falcon at the Orange nest is Diamond, and her mate is Xavier. Both birds are unbanded.



FalconCam Project, located at the CSU Orange campus in New South Wales, was established in 2008 to study, monitor and record the breeding & natural behaviour of a resident peregrine falcon family ('Falco peregrinus macropus') to provide a glimpse in to the life of a bird of prey species which until recently was listed worldwide as ?at risk?, and to provide research, pictures, videos and live streamed vision for the worldwide conservation effort

And they put stones in there so she cant move eggs out of our site

That is hilarious!

Yesterday X brot Di a starling.
She hates starlings - and she showed it!
She is very moody (thats the nice word   8)  )
She may lay an egg any day. She was standing in the hole yesterday

I have been waiting for - the perfect picture - lol
Those are hard to come by!
