Midmorning snack arrived....

That band is definitely black/blue, but danged if I can get the number.

There was a lot of orange on that snack, but didn't really strike me as an oriole.

I keep looking at the two last eggs, but I think they have stuff stuck to them.

1712 (5:12 PM) more food came.  I have NO idea what kind of bird, it was pretty well plucked.

It seems like these two go after each other with their beaks.

An evening snack came in and it wasn't an oriole this time.  This didn't come out real clear, but it was a red-winged blackbird.

Mom brought some prey and as she was going to come in one of the grabbed it and went to the back corner.  She marched in and tugged really hard and got it back to feed everyone...

They're getting some color on their fronts now...

It had a bit of a wing flapping frenzy...

Last year's male was unbanded. The female was Lucia D/51. I can't quite make out the bands, so I'm not sure who this is!

Thanks for the great caps!

Boy the little guy sure wants to go!  Lots of perching and flapping.  Love the early morning light in the nest box.

Breakfast arrived and he was pulling off bites for them as fast as he could.

Another meal and mom teased them like crazy with it, but no one come out for it.
