Looked almost like a morning on the Desert this morning.

Unless they are side by side I cant tell, but one of the adults flew into the nest with a fish this morning (about 10am CCT) and quickly took off when the other adult appeared. Flew into the nearby tree to enjoy the meal.

Raleigh, your pic is MrN with the fish on a branch.  I've been watching on the rewind, and here's the sequence, all in about 15 minutes starting about 10:00.

#1 MrN lands on the nest with a fish and flies off as DNF approaches.
#2 DNF comes in screaming as MrN heads to the Love Branches. This lack of sharing might be part of the early re-bonding of the pair --I'm not an expert at the behaviors, but it's similar to a day or two ago.
#3 Mr N eats his fish on the Love Branch.
#4 DNF perches nearby but does not try to take the fish.
See next post for the rest of the action. . .

#5 MrN feaks his beak then flies away.
#6 DNF flies back to the nest moments later.
#7 DNF spends a few minutes picking at the nest, then flies away.

The cam ops are panning for more action, but birds are elsewhere at 11:30AM.

Thanks for the timeline. Watching at work, so I don't always have time to watch the entire rewind. Mr. North flew in right as I clicked on the camera this morning.

Raleigh & Lisa, this juvie spent an hour or more perching, then flew to the ground about 10:30 or so. The crows were very loudly unhappy, but no evidence of prey, then the juvie flew away.

Try rewinding to about 9AM to watch a herd of deer moving through the trees on the far side of the Creek. They appear as the camera pans to the right past a closeup of tree trunk at the left side of the screen. Didn't see them again while watching the juvie eagle.

I did catch the deer moving thru the trees. At first, I thought it was the cows, but then you could see clearly it was deer.

Mystery prey this afternoon, about 2PM. DNF lands on the nest, followed by that same juvie, I think. It hovers then flies away. DNF eats part of the prey, then flies away, too. But what is this prey? Possible road kill, not fish. No visible feet, tail, or head. Looks like short, dark fur. Weasel? Great closeups but no obvious ID.

The Norths are active this morning around 10AM. MrN came to the nest and DNF (aqua line in pic) landed on the pasture branch with lots of chattering. I thought there might have been another adult (orange line) on the Love Branch but no, it was just leaves & snow.

After a bit, DNF joined MrN on the nest to dig up cornhusks & sticks & leftover prey. Short visit, then both flew to the Love Branch for some talk and together time. They perched for a while, then MrN flew off to the left and shortly after, DNF flew off to the right. By noon, one was perching in a pasture or creek tree (no pic).

STL -- Your last pic really shows the size difference although DNF was wearing her fluffiest jacket today.  I thought for a minute they were going to mate, but it didn't happen.
