 :)  LisaG, I missed that while afk.  I have seen Harriet do that in SWFL with M15 in his first year -- a little lesson perhaps.  It worked at SWFL  ;D

:)  LisaG, I missed that while afk.  I have seen Harriet do that in SWFL with M15 in his first year -- a little lesson perhaps.  It worked at SWFL  ;D

Mom used to do it with Dad too.  I remember seeing it last year.

"It was a dominance display and she is letting him know that she is reaffirming her commitment to him and is receptive. All the classic behaviors observed: taking the initiative, stroking his side before mounting him and footing his back, vocalizing, and a follow up couple of nice beak strokes to his head. :)"

LOL Mom says "See. There. That's how it's done!"  Thank you to all of you for your great pics and videos!  His stance reminded me of when the eaglets would beak another, the one being beaked would take that same submissive posture. Interesting.
