I just had another Eaglecrest moment, remembering everything I loved about it, the geese, the barn owls, the hawks, the herons, the egrets, the squirrels, and all the other creatures, the great cam operators and all the informative moderators. It was such a magical place for too short a time. A piece of me died when they turned off the cams for the last time. There will never be another thing quite like it in my life.
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down today.
Nothing gold can stay.
